New US Passport Designs Celebrate 250 Years of Independence Featuring Trump
Commemorative Passport Designs Unveiled
The United States State Department is set to unveil new passport designs to mark the 250th anniversary of American independence. These designs, which have been shared with various media outlets, prominently feature an image of former President Donald Trump on the inside cover, alongside the Declaration of Independence and the American flag, complete with Trump's signature in gold. Another page showcases the iconic artwork depicting the Founding Fathers as they signed the Declaration of Independence.
According to State Department spokesperson Tommy Pigott, the limited edition passports are part of the celebrations for America's 250th anniversary, which will take place in July. Pigott stated, “As the United States celebrates America's 250th anniversary in July, the State Department is preparing to release a limited number of specially designed U.S. passports to commemorate this historic occasion.”

The new passports are part of a larger initiative by the Trump administration known as “America250,” which also includes events like a Grand Prix race on the National Mall in August and a UFC fight on the South Lawn of the White House in June. The release of these passports is scheduled for this summer.
The back cover will display a design featuring the American flag, with the number “20” placed between the 13 stars from the flag design used in 1777. Officials have assured that despite the aesthetic changes, the security features of the passports will remain intact. Pigott emphasized, “While featuring customized artwork and enhanced imagery, the new passports will continue maintaining the same security features that make the US Passport the most secure documents in the world.”
These commemorative passports will be available through the Washington Passport Agency for any American citizen applying for a new passport, subject to availability. A State Department representative confirmed that the launch will align with the 250th anniversary celebrations in July and will continue until supplies last.
