Rotary Club Welcomes New Leaders

MANDI: The Rotary Club Chhoti Kashi Mandi celebrated the induction of its new leadership team for the 2025-26 term during a festive installation ceremony held at a local hotel. Dr. Hemlata was officially welcomed as the club president, while Renu Gulati took on the role of secretary, both serving for one year.
The transition was marked by a traditional collar exchange ceremony led by District Governor Elect (District 3070) Rotarian Anil Singal, who praised the new leaders for embracing their roles with a commitment to service and responsibility.
Commitment to Service and Inclusion
In his keynote speech, Rtn. Singal congratulated the newly appointed leaders and highlighted Rotary International as the largest humanitarian service organization globally, established in 1905 and based in the US, with over 35,000 clubs and 1.22 million members across more than 200 nations. He emphasized the organization's mission to unite individuals from diverse backgrounds to serve humanity, promote goodwill, and foster peace. Singal urged members to take pride in their association with an organization that leads in global philanthropy, stressing the importance of diversity, equity, and inclusion.
He also pointed out Rotary's proactive involvement in disaster relief, mentioning the club's efforts during the recent flooding in Mandi, where they collaborated with the state government and various relief organizations to assist affected communities.
Health Initiatives: President Hemlata's Vision
In her inaugural address as president, Dr. Hemlata expressed her gratitude for the trust placed in her and outlined her vision for the upcoming year.
“As a healthcare professional, I am dedicated to organizing outreach programs, particularly in rural and underserved regions where medical access is limited,” she stated.
“This year, we aim to create a significant impact on the lives of the underprivileged through meaningful and accessible service initiatives.” She called on fellow Rotarians to unite in their mission and enhance the club's influence throughout the region.
