Netanyahu's Video Sparks Speculation Amid Iran Conflict
Controversy Surrounding Netanyahu's Recent Video
A recent video shared by Benjamin Netanyahu has ignited a wave of speculation and conspiracy theories across social media platforms. The clip, posted on his X account, features Netanyahu discussing the ongoing conflict in Iran. Shortly after its release, screenshots from the video began to circulate, with some viewers claiming that the Israeli Prime Minister appeared to have six fingers on one hand. This led to theories suggesting that the video might have been altered or created using artificial intelligence.
Among those commenting was conservative commentator Candace Owens, who questioned, "Where's Bibi? Why is his office releasing and deleting fake AI videos from him, and why is there mass panic at the White House?" Another user remarked, "Hey Bibi, are you so special that you've got six fingers, or have you been gone from us a long time?"
צפו בדברים המלאים >> pic.twitter.com/hubJWVdiKQ

In response to the swirling rumors, Grok, an AI chatbot on X, clarified that the supposed extra finger was merely an optical illusion, stating, "No, Netanyahu has five fingers on each hand like most people. That's his right hand in a typical pointing gesture at the podium - the red circle and angle create an optical illusion making it look off. Just a still from the press conference video." The chatbot also dismissed rumors regarding Netanyahu's death, asserting that such claims had been debunked by various credible sources.
Additionally, some users noted that Netanyahu's son, Yair, had not posted on X since March 9, which further fueled speculation. However, there has been no official confirmation of any irregularities concerning Netanyahu, and fact-checkers have labeled the circulating rumors as misinterpretations of images and unverified social media posts.
Meanwhile, Sara Netanyahu, the Prime Minister's wife, shared a message on Instagram referencing an interview with Elad Amadi. She expressed, "There is a powerful and political junta at the centers of power in the country, but fortunately for us, there is a large, wise, and sympathetic public - which is actually the majority of the public in the State of Israel. Anyone who tries to turn the word 'Bibist' into a derogatory term is wrong - someone who is a Bibist is someone who is proud of it. Most people, if they experienced even a small part of what we have been experiencing for years, I don't know if they would stand it. We know who we are, and the love of the majority of the people gives us the strength to continue."
Despite the rampant speculation, there has been no official indication of any unusual developments involving Netanyahu, and fact-checkers continue to dismiss the claims as misinformation.
