At the funeral of Ayatollah Ali Khamenei in Iran, a masked individual drew significant attention, leading many to speculate that it was his son and potential successor, Mojtaba Khamenei. The individual in question, who was seen wearing a baseball cap and assisting in leading prayers, was identified as Mohammad Javad Khamenei, the eldest grandson of the late supreme leader, rather than Mojtaba.

This confusion is understandable considering Javad Khamenei's recent history. He sustained serious injuries, including severe facial burns, during airstrikes on February 28, which were conducted by the US and Israel, resulting in the death of his grandfather at the age of 86. In a related statement, former US President Donald Trump warned that '1000 Missiles are Locked and Loaded and aimed at the Islamic Republic of Iran,' indicating a readiness to respond should Iran act on threats against the US President. He emphasized that the US military is prepared to take decisive action against Iran.
