The Haifa refinery, known as Bazan, is Israel's largest and most vital fuel production facility, providing approximately 50-60% of the nation's fuel needs, including around 60% of its diesel and 50% of its gasoline. The refinery plays a crucial role in fueling various sectors, including transportation, aviation, and military operations, processing up to 197,000 barrels of oil daily. Notably, Israel operates only two refineries in total.
