Melania Trump's Strong Denial

Melania Trump has firmly rejected any association with convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein, labeling the circulating allegations as "false" and "defamatory." During a press briefing at the White House on Thursday, she stated, "I am not Epstein’s victim. Epstein did not introduce me to Donald Trump." She further emphasized, "I have never had any knowledge of Epstein’s abuse of his victims," asserting, "I was never involved in any capacity. I was not a participant." She demanded an end to the falsehoods linking her to Epstein, declaring, "The lies connecting me with the disgraceful Jeffrey Epstein need to cease today."

Melania also condemned those perpetuating these claims, stating, "The individuals lying about me lack ethical standards, humility, and respect. While I do not object to their ignorance, I reject their malicious attempts to tarnish my reputation." The context of her statement remains unclear, as a media notification the day prior did not clarify the issue at hand.

In her statement, which was later released by the White House, Melania acknowledged having sent an email to Ghislaine Maxwell in October 2002, which mentioned a New York magazine profile of Epstein. In the email, she wrote: "Dear G! How are you? Nice story about JE in NY mag. You look great in the picture. I know you are very busy flying all over the world. How was Palm Beach? I cannot wait to go down. Give me a call when you are back in NY. Have a great time! Love, Melania." She noted that her first encounter with Epstein occurred in 2000 at an event she attended with Donald Trump, asserting, "At that time, I had never met Epstein and had no knowledge of his criminal activities."

Melania also addressed the misleading images and claims circulating on social media, cautioning, "Fake images and statements about Epstein and me have been circulating online for years. Be wary of what you believe: These images and stories are entirely false." She reiterated, "I’m not a witness or a named witness in connection with any of Epstein’s crimes. My name has never appeared in court documents, victim statements, or FBI interviews related to the Epstein case."
