Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy condemned the attacks and reiterated the need for increased military support from Western allies, emphasizing that the lack of advanced air defense systems leaves civilians at risk from Russian missile strikes. In Kyiv, at least 81 individuals sustained injuries, with residents recounting their experiences of seeking refuge in shelters, hallways, and bathrooms as explosions rattled their homes and shattered windows.

Russia's Defense Ministry claimed that the operation was aimed at military-industrial targets across several Ukrainian regions. However, Ukrainian officials asserted that the strikes inflicted severe damage on residential areas, civilian infrastructure, and energy networks.
