Recent reports indicate that Israel has discreetly stationed its Iron Beam laser air defense system in the United Arab Emirates during the ongoing tensions with Iran. This move marks a significant step in defense collaboration between the two nations, which only established formal diplomatic ties in 2020. According to the Financial Times, Israel also provided a lightweight surveillance system known as Spectro, which has been instrumental for the UAE in detecting incoming drones, particularly the Shahed models, from distances up to 20 kilometers.

Furthermore, the report highlights that Israel dispatched a variant of the Iron Beam system, which is designed to neutralize short-range rockets and drones. This deployment aims to protect against potential threats from Hezbollah projectiles originating from Lebanon. Earlier, Axios had reported on this deployment.

UAE officials noted that Iran launched approximately 550 ballistic and cruise missiles, alongside over 2,200 drones, in retaliation for a joint military operation conducted by the United States and Israel on February 28. The conflict saw a ceasefire established between the US and Iran, which has been tenuous for three weeks. US President Donald Trump announced that the war has "terminated," despite ongoing military presence in the region. In a recent letter to Congress, the White House stated that hostilities with Iran have ceased, while Trump criticized the War Powers Resolution as "unconstitutional."
