Israeli Military Conducts Strikes in Tehran

The Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) have reported executing a series of overnight airstrikes in Tehran, focusing on a significant production facility linked to Iran's defense ministry, which is responsible for creating components for ballistic missiles. The operation also targeted locations associated with the production of missile engines, drones, air defense systems, and missile storage facilities. The IDF characterized the targeted site as "highly significant," noting that it is one of only two such facilities in Iran involved in the development of essential components for missiles aimed at Israel. The IDF stated on X, "This site is one of only two of its kind in Iran where critical components were developed for the assembly and operationalisation of missiles set to launch toward the state of Israel."

In a related development, Iran accused the United States of covertly planning a ground invasion while publicly discussing negotiations. Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf, the Speaker of Iran's Parliament, criticized US President Donald Trump for expressing a willingness to negotiate while allegedly plotting a ground attack. Ghalibaf's comments followed reports from US media regarding potential ground operations.

Ghalibaf stated, "The enemy is openly sending a message of negotiation and secretly planning a ground attack,” as reported by IRNA. He added, "Our men are waiting for the arrival of American soldiers on the ground to set them on fire."

Earlier reports indicated that the Pentagon has been preparing for weeks of ground operations in Iran, coinciding with the deployment of 3,500 troops from the 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit to West Asia. Amid escalating tensions, Iran has claimed that over one million troops and fighters have been mobilized to defend against a potential ground invasion. This information was shared by Iranian state-linked media, which highlighted a surge of volunteers ready to join the fight. A senior military source mentioned that many individuals, including trained forces and civilians, have stepped forward to participate.
