Israeli Forces Target Hezbollah Leadership in Lebanon
Israeli Military Claims Major Strikes Against Hezbollah
The Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) have announced the alleged elimination of Hezbollah leader Naim Qassem in Lebanon, although Hezbollah has not yet verified this claim. Additionally, the IDF reported the death of Ali Yusuf Harshi, who served as Qassem's personal secretary and was closely associated with him, during an airstrike in Beirut. Harshi, who is also Qassem's nephew, played a significant role in the management and security of the secretary-general's operations.
In a series of overnight operations, Israeli forces targeted critical Hezbollah infrastructure throughout Lebanon. This included significant transit routes utilized for transporting weapons across the Litani River, as well as various weapons depots, launch sites, and command centers located in southern Lebanon. Israel asserts that these actions represent a substantial strike against Hezbollah's leadership and logistical capabilities, as they persist in their campaign against Iran-supported Hezbollah militants.
