Iranian Diplomatic Stance During Pakistan Visit
Dubai: Following the arrival of Iranian Foreign Minister Seyed Abbas Araghchi in Pakistan, the Iranian government has made it clear that there will be no direct discussions with representatives from the United States during this trip.
Esmael Baqaei, the spokesperson for the foreign ministry, announced on social media platform X that "No meetings are scheduled between Iran and the US." He further mentioned that Pakistani officials would act as intermediaries to relay messages between the two delegations.
Baqaei expressed gratitude towards the Pakistani government for its "continuous mediation and efforts to end the American-imposed war of aggression."
Earlier on Friday, the White House had indicated that its representatives were set to meet with Araghchi.
