Iran Responds to Allegations of US Missile Launches from Kuwait
Tensions Rise as Iran Reacts to US Missile Claims
Iran has shared a post from the media outlet France 24 on the social media platform X, formerly known as Twitter, which claims that the United States is launching missiles targeting Iran from Kuwait. The post includes videos purportedly showing US missiles being fired from Kuwaiti territory. In response, Iran's diplomatic mission in Thailand humorously questioned the validity of the claim, asking, "Habibi what is this?"
The Iranian Embassy's sarcastic remark seems directed at Kuwait, which has denied permitting US forces to use its land for attacks against Iran. However, evidence such as videos, geolocation data, and satellite imagery suggests that the US is utilizing the desert area near Camp Buehring in the Gulf to strike Iranian targets. Iran has consistently warned Gulf nations against allowing their territory or airspace to be exploited by US-Israeli forces for attacks on Tehran, threatening retaliation if such actions continue. With media reports indicating that Kuwait has allowed US operations against Iran, Tehran's response remains uncertain.

In a separate incident, Iranian drones targeted a petrochemical facility in Bahrain, resulting in multiple strikes. Bahrain’s official news agency reported that the attack caused fires in two units of the state-owned plant. Firefighters have since managed to control the blaze, and authorities are currently evaluating the extent of the damage.
The ongoing conflict, which has now entered its sixth week, commenced with coordinated US-Israel strikes on February 28. This conflict has resulted in significant casualties, disrupted global markets, obstructed vital shipping routes, and caused a surge in fuel prices. As Iran continues to retaliate with attacks throughout the region, the situation shows no signs of de-escalation.
