Iran Targets US Air Base in Qatar

On Friday, Iran announced that it had launched an attack on the US-operated Al Udeid Air Base located in Qatar, which plays a mediating role in the ongoing US-Iran conflict. In response, Qatar issued two warnings to its citizens to seek shelter as Iranian missiles struck the nation. Additionally, Iran targeted a power and water desalination facility in Kuwait and conducted assaults on Bahrain and Jordan. This escalation coincided with the US military intensifying its airstrike operations against Iran, targeting bridges, energy facilities, and a tower at the strategic Chahbahar Port on the sixth day of these strikes.

US Attacks Bridges and Airport

The US military executed airstrikes on at least five bridges and an airport in Iran on Friday. Reports from Iranian state television indicated that these strikes, which occurred overnight in the Hormozgan province, resulted in the deaths of at least seven individuals. The targeted strikes were aimed at Bandar Khamir, a coastal city along the Strait of Hormuz, with the intention of severing connections to Bandar Abbas, Iran's primary port. Furthermore, a tower at Chabahar port was reportedly destroyed, and an airport in Iranshahr, located further inland near the Pakistan border, was also hit.
