Significant Drug Bust in Eastern Nepal
Kathmandu: On Wednesday, authorities apprehended two individuals from India for allegedly possessing approximately 150 kilograms of illegal drugs in eastern Nepal, as reported by local police.
The suspects, identified as 18-year-old Dharmendra Kumar Yadav and 21-year-old Mohmad Sadam, both hailing from Bihar, were found transporting 148 kg of marijuana inside an ambulance registered in India.
Their arrest took place in the Sunsari district of the Koshi province, according to the Sunsari District Police Office.
Upon noticing the police, the duo attempted to escape but were quickly captured.
The police have commenced a thorough investigation into the incident and have taken the suspects into custody.
