Jerusalem: An Indian citizen sustained injuries from shrapnel caused by an Iranian missile, which struck him in the neck, as reported by officials on Monday.


The incident occurred on Sunday, and the individual was promptly taken to Ichilov Hospital in Tel Aviv, where he underwent surgery and is currently reported to be in stable condition.


"He was admitted in critical condition with a neck injury. The medical team at Ichilov worked diligently to save his life, performing an extensive surgery. Fortunately, he is now stabilizing," stated a hospital spokesperson.


Officials confirmed that the Indian Embassy in Tel Aviv is actively monitoring the situation and has visited the hospital to check on the injured man's recovery.


Additionally, the embassy maintains regular communication with Indian nationals residing in Israel amidst the ongoing conflicts in the region.
