The embassy's evacuation advisory follows a warning from the Israel Defense Forces, which urged residents in District 3 of Tehran to evacuate immediately for their safety.
The Israeli military indicated that it would take action in the area to target the Iranian regime's military infrastructure, similar to recent operations around Tehran.
Shortly after, U.S. President Donald Trump also called for immediate evacuation of individuals in Tehran.
This latest escalation in the Israel-Iran conflict began when the Israeli military targeted what it claimed were nuclear sites in Iran, aiming to disrupt Tehran's nuclear ambitions.
These military actions have raised concerns about a potential broader conflict in the region.
The Indian embassy in Tehran has been coordinating with Iranian authorities to ensure the safe relocation of Indian citizens from the capital and other targeted cities.
Meanwhile, the Indian embassy in Tel Aviv is facilitating the exit of Indian nationals through borders with Jordan and Egypt, as airspace remains closed.
On Tuesday, the external affairs ministry announced the establishment of a control room to manage the crisis in West Asia.
In recent days, the Israel Defense Forces have conducted multiple strikes in Tehran and other cities, including Iran's primary nuclear facility in Natanz.
In retaliation, Iran launched missile attacks on various locations in Israel, including major cities like Tel Aviv and Haifa.
Both nations have continued their exchange of air strikes and missile attacks, resulting in significant casualties on both sides.
Reports indicate that over 220 individuals have died in Israeli strikes within Iran, while at least 24 fatalities have occurred in Israel due to Iranian attacks.
Israel asserts that Iran is nearing the capability to develop a nuclear weapon, emphasizing its obligation to protect its citizens. Conversely, Iran maintains that its nuclear program is intended for peaceful purposes.
