Urgent Advisory from Indian Embassy in Israel

New Delhi: In light of escalating tensions between Israel and Iran, the Indian Embassy in Tel Aviv has released an urgent advisory for Indian citizens in Israel. The embassy has urged nationals to remain alert, limit unnecessary travel, and adhere to local safety guidelines.

This advisory follows significant airstrikes conducted by Israel on Iran early Friday, raising fears of a wider regional conflict.

The Indian mission emphasized the need for caution and readiness for those living or visiting Israel in a social media post.

The embassy stated, “Given the current situation in the region, all Indian nationals in Israel are advised to stay vigilant and follow the safety protocols set by the Israeli authorities and Home Front Command. Please exercise caution, avoid unnecessary travel within the country, and remain close to safety shelters.”

Additionally, the embassy encouraged Indian citizens to stay informed through official channels and maintain communication with the mission in case of emergencies.

This advisory comes after Israel declared a special state of emergency following what it termed a 'preemptive strike' on Iran. The situation is dynamic, with reports of explosions in Tehran and increased security measures throughout Israel.

These attacks are occurring amid growing concerns regarding Tehran’s nuclear ambitions and the perceived threats they pose to Israeli security.

In a televised address, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu confirmed the initiation of a 'targeted military operation' aimed at mitigating the Iranian threat to Israel’s existence.

Netanyahu stated, “This operation will continue as long as necessary to eliminate the threat of annihilation against us,” highlighting the seriousness of the situation.

Israeli Defence Minister Israel Katz also confirmed the offensive, labeling it a 'preemptive strike' designed to neutralize imminent threats. In response to the increased risk, Katz announced a special state of emergency across Israel to ensure national readiness and civilian safety.
