During the excavation on his new land, he uncovered something that made him question his luck.
While plowing, Pillai discovered a pot containing numerous ancient coins. Reports suggest that this pot is approximately 100 years old and holds 2,595 coins. When weighed, these coins totaled 20 kilograms and 400 grams. Interestingly, all the coins are made of copper. According to sources, these coins date back to the Travancore Kingdom.
After the discovery, the coins were sent for laboratory analysis. They showed signs of corrosion, but the total value of the coins remains unclear. Experts will need to assess them to determine their worth accurately. Historians indicate that these coins were in circulation during the reigns of two Travancore kings: the first, Moolam Thirunal Ram Varma, ruled from 1885 to 1924, and the second, Chithira Thirunal Bala Ram Varma, who ruled from 1924 to 1949, was the last ruler of Travancore.
