On Wednesday morning, rapper Ice Spice found herself in a physical confrontation with a fan at a McDonald's in Hollywood. The altercation began when a woman, later identified as Vayah, unexpectedly slapped Ice Spice in the face. Footage of the incident, initially shared by a news outlet, captures Ice Spice seated with a friend when Vayah approached their booth, seemingly asking to join them. However, the mood shifted quickly as Ice Spice and her companion appeared displeased with the request and gestured for Vayah to leave.
In response, Vayah slapped Ice Spice, prompting the rapper to leap up, navigate over the tables, and pursue Vayah outside the restaurant. The situation intensified further, with additional videos revealing the two women exchanging insults, during which Ice Spice’s friend's phone was damaged. At one point, Vayah attempted to punch Ice Spice again, leading to a brief scuffle before bystanders intervened.
Ice Spice's attorney, Bradford Cohen, stated that the attack was entirely unprovoked. He confirmed that the incident has been reported to the LAPD, and they intend to seek both criminal and civil action against Vayah.

Cohen also mentioned that they are considering holding the McDonald's location accountable for inadequate security measures.
Who is Vayah?
TMZ later identified the woman as Vayah. In a video statement she released, Vayah claimed her intentions were to express love and support for Ice Spice. She alleged that the rapper was disrespectful, referring to her as a 'bitch,' which led to the slap. Vayah maintained that she merely wanted to join Ice Spice and her friend when the situation escalated.
Public Reaction
The videos of the incident quickly circulated online, with many users expressing support for Ice Spice. One comment stated, 'This is unacceptable, why would she assault her in public like that?' Another remarked, 'Spice is gonna sue the pennies out of her. Actual gg.' As of now, neither Ice Spice nor her team has issued a public statement beyond the lawyer's remarks, and the LAPD has yet to provide an official update regarding the investigation.
