In a statement released by the Yemeni Armed Forces, the Houthis detailed two synchronized military operations. The Houthis asserted that both operations resulted in "precise and direct hits" and met their intended goals. These strikes were executed shortly after the Houthis accused Saudi Arabia of conducting "criminal and unjust" air raids on Hodeidah and Kamaran Island, labeling these actions as violations of Yemen's sovereignty. The statement indicated that the assaults inflicted both material and psychological damage.
Additionally, the Houthis claimed their air defense systems engaged Saudi aircraft that entered Yemeni airspace, thwarting any further assaults. They characterized the Saudi airstrikes as a continuation of the blockade against Yemen and pledged to retaliate with additional military actions.
