A Tragic Incident at the Beach

A planned dinner by the beach in Florida escalated into a horrific attack, resulting in a woman suffering from numerous stab wounds. Her boyfriend has been arrested and is facing charges of attempted murder. Reports indicate that 40-year-old Leisnier Mauri Garcia was taken into custody on June 25, charged with attempted felony murder using a deadly weapon, linked to a domestic violence incident that occurred on June 21.

The Relationship's Downward Spiral

Garcia and the victim had been in a relationship for approximately six months. According to local news sources, they had rented an Airbnb near the beach and were preparing for dinner when an unexpected argument erupted. The conflict was triggered by a text message the woman received from her child's father, which led to a heated exchange and her decision to end the relationship.

The Attack Unfolds

After the argument, the couple returned to the Airbnb to collect their belongings before heading to their car. However, Garcia claimed he needed to retrieve something from inside. When he returned, he chose to sit in the back seat, a choice that the woman later noted as unusual. Investigators believe this was a premeditated move, as Garcia had a knife hidden in the back seat. Without warning, he attacked her from behind, stabbing her multiple times. The woman managed to escape the vehicle, pleading with him to stop.

Injuries and Aftermath

The brutal attack left the woman with 34 stab wounds, including 10 concentrated on her neck. She was quickly transported to a hospital for urgent medical care. Garcia also sustained injuries, including cuts on his hands, and was treated at a hospital as well.

During interviews with investigators, the woman described her relationship with Garcia, which began in December 2025, as generally positive but acknowledged instances of aggression. She also recounted a previous breakup that lasted about two months, during which Garcia had attempted to assault her.
