Escalating Tensions in the Middle East: US and Iran Clash Over Drone Incidents
Rising Conflict in the Middle East
Tehran: Recent days have seen a significant escalation in the ongoing conflict in the Middle East. A video that emerged online depicts a US F-15 fighter jet pursuing what appears to be an Iranian Shahed drone flying at a low altitude. This footage was circulated by various pro-Iranian accounts. The clip shows the chase culminating in a loud explosion, followed by smoke rising from the area. However, the authenticity of this video has not been independently verified.

Interestingly, pro-Iranian social media users ridiculed the US F-15 for its inability to intercept the 'inexpensive' drone. Reports indicate that this video was recorded during an Iranian drone attack on a British oil company in Erbil, Iraq, which resulted in a significant fire.
Iranian Envoy Issues Warning to the UK: This incident comes amid a surge in drone assaults on oil installations in Iraqi Kurdistan. Iran's ambassador to the UK, Seyed Ali Mousavi, previously indicated that Tehran intends to target British military bases. It is noteworthy that the United States has utilized the Royal Air Force’s bases in Fairford and Diego Garcia for conducting airstrikes against Iran. Since the onset of the Middle East conflict on February 28, triggered by US and Israeli airstrikes on Tehran, Iran has retaliated by attacking US military installations and oil facilities in the Gulf region and Iraq. Additionally, Iran has been targeting Kurdish opposition factions in northern Iraq.
Trump's Stark Warning to Iran: In a recent address, President Trump warned that Iran would face severe repercussions in the coming days, stating that the country would be brought back to the 'stone age.' He emphasized, "We are going to hit them extremely hard over the next two to three weeks. We are going to bring them back to the stone ages, where they belong. In the meantime, discussions are ongoing." Trump also mentioned that there has been a 'regime change' due to the ongoing military actions by the US and Israel in Tehran, although he clarified that this was not an official goal of the US. He noted that these military operations have already resulted in significant losses among the leadership of the Islamic Republic.
Trump reiterated, "Regime change was not our goal. Regime change was not our goal. We never said regime change, but regime change has occurred because of the deaths of all of their original leaders. They're all dead."
