The flight is expected to continue to Minneapolis later on Friday."
The Boeing 737 was carrying 147 passengers along with six crew members, and fortunately, no injuries were reported. Although authorities have not provided specific details about the incident, several passengers took to social media to claim that the individual was speaking in Russian during the episode. Some also suggested that the passenger attempted to breach the cockpit, although these claims remain unverified by officials.
Images shared online depicted a man in a blue shirt being escorted off the plane by multiple law enforcement officers after it landed in Madison. The flight was about halfway to its destination when the diversion took place. Emergency responders were present upon the aircraft's arrival, and the disruptive passenger was removed.
United Airlines has not disclosed further information regarding the individual or the circumstances that led to the emergency landing. Additionally, authorities have not confirmed any reports of an attempted cockpit breach.
