Dramatic Drone Attacks in the Black Sea: What Happened Off Bulgaria's Coast?
Drone Strikes Target Ships in Black Sea
In a shocking incident early Tuesday, drones targeted two vessels in the Black Sea near Bulgaria, resulting in the sinking of one ship, as reported by Prime Minister Rumen Radev. The attack has triggered urgent rescue operations.
According to Radev, one crew member from the sunken ship was successfully rescued, although he did not disclose the status of the remaining individuals on board.
Meanwhile, all 15 crew members aboard the other vessel, the Maltese-flagged Chelsea 3, were evacuated, with five individuals requiring medical attention for minor injuries, as stated by Radev.
The Prime Minister condemned the drone strikes as 'absolutely unacceptable' and has called for support from NATO and the European Union, highlighting Bulgaria's lack of definitive evidence to ascertain the perpetrators behind the attacks.
