Potential Wedding at the White House

Reports indicate that Donald Trump Jr. is exploring the option of hosting his wedding to Bettina Anderson at the White House, although a specific date has not been set. According to a source cited by a popular magazine, the couple is considering utilizing a ballroom that is currently under construction at the White House. This venue is seen as a strategic choice that could enhance their prospects for future political endeavors. The source noted, "This would position them well for future political roles, whether Don Jr. aims for the presidency or another position," while also mentioning that the ballroom needs to be completed first.

The ballroom's future has been uncertain recently. Construction commenced following the demolition of the East Wing in October 2025, but a federal judge recently issued a temporary halt to the project, stating that congressional approval is necessary for such modifications to the White House. In response to this ruling, President Trump remarked on social media, "Congressional approval has never been granted for any construction at the White House, regardless of the scale." He further emphasized that the ballroom is funded entirely by private donations, without any federal taxpayer contributions.

With the East Wing already dismantled and construction on hold, it is uncertain if the ballroom will be finished before Trump’s term concludes in January 2029. Meanwhile, wedding preparations are in progress, with Anderson reportedly planning an "enchanted garden"-themed bridal shower at Mar-a-Lago later this month. Speculation suggests that the wedding could occur as soon as this spring, which may eliminate the White House as a venue if construction delays continue.
