Concerns Arise Over Apple's New iPhone Duo After Launch
Apple's iPhone Duo Faces Durability Issues
New Delhi - The tech giant Apple is currently in the spotlight due to its newly launched foldable smartphone, the 'iPhone Duo'. This device was unveiled during the flagship event on September 9, and its global sales commenced on October 23. However, shortly after the sales began, serious concerns regarding its durability and engineering have emerged.
Initial buyers and social media users have reported cracks appearing on the device's internal folding screen, raising alarms. According to complaints surfacing on social media, numerous users have claimed that cracks are forming around the hinge area of the phone. One user mentioned that their screen cracked after folding and unfolding the device fewer than 20 times, while another reported noticing a crack at the bottom of the screen just six hours after purchasing the iPhone Duo. These early complaints have sparked significant worries among potential customers about the safety and sturdiness of this premium foldable smartphone.
Another factor contributing to the skepticism surrounding the iPhone Duo is its exorbitant price tag. With a cost of approximately $2,000 (over ₹1.65 lakh), customers expect a robust and long-lasting device. Apple has entered the foldable smartphone market at a time when competitors like Samsung have already established a strong foothold in this segment. If reports of screen cracks continue to rise in the coming days, it could pose a significant technical and commercial challenge for Apple. As of now, the company has not issued any official statement regarding these issues.
