The results of the US election became clear four days after the counting of votes began. Presidential candidate Joe Biden received a majority from the Democrat Party. This was the third time for Biden coming from a very ordinary family when he tried his luck for the presidency. The first two times (in 1997 and 2008), he did not get approval from the party to stand on this post, but in this year’s election, Biden proved not only his strength in the party but also heavily on the current President Donald Trump.

Biden’s Life Filled with Personal Tragedies: Joe Biden’s life has been filled with many personal tragedies so far. His wife Nelia and daughter Naomi died in a car accident in 1972 only after becoming MP for the first time. Biden was then sworn in for his first term from the hospital room. His sons Bue and Hunter narrowly survived the accident. In 2015, Beau died of cancer at the age of 46. Bue was believed to be contesting the 2016 Delaware state governorship.

According to Joe, it was his elder son, Beau, who encouraged him to stand for the presidency again. During his campaign, Biden has been referring to the incident with Beau, strengthening health services. Biden is known as a family man for the strength with which Biden held his position after his death.

First elected senator in 1972: Joe Biden is a six-time senator from Delaware. He first won the election from here in 1972. He then planned to stand for the presidency for the first time in 1988, but withdrew his candidacy because of allegations of repeating the speech of a leader of Britain’s Labor Party in his election speech.

Biden’s key role in getting white voters for Obama: 77-year-old Biden did not get a chance to stand for the presidency in 2008 because of Barack Obama’s bid. However, Obama decided to make him his Vice President given his image. During Obama’s tenure, Biden always stood behind him for the next 8 years. Be it Obama’s implementation of health plans or his support in times of economic crisis. Biden continued to be among Obama’s most important companions.

Hailing from a middle-class family, Joe Biden has always been referred to as ‘middle-class Joe’ in American politics. It is believed that due to this image of him, Obama got a lot of votes from black voters as well as middle-class white voters in the 2008 and 2012 elections.
