Ram Navami 2023: Celebrate the Birth of Lord Rama on March 30

Ram Navami, the birth of Lord Rama is also being celebrated this year on Thursday, March 30. The auspicious festival of Ram Navami coincides with the last day of Chaitra Navratri. Chaitra Navratri is a nine-day auspicious festival starting next week. According to Hindu mythology, Lord Rama was born on the ninth tithi of the Shukla Paksha of Chaitra month. And so, this day is celebrated as Lord Rama's birthday every year.

It is believed that Lord Rama was born during the Madhyaha period which is the middle of the Hindu day. According to the Drika Panchang, midday which lasts for six ghats (about 2 hours and 24 minutes) is the most auspicious time to perform the Ram Navami Puja ritual.

On this special day dedicated to Lord Rama, devotees should wake up early and take bath. After that he has to clean the house and the pooja room.
