This year, the 5251st birth anniversary of Lord Krishna will be celebrated with great enthusiasm in Mathura. Kapil Sharma, the Secretary of Shri Krishna Janmabhoomi, has announced that Lord Krishna will be adorned with a Padmakanti Pushp Bungalow this year. The deity will be enshrined in a silver lotus flower, allowing devotees to witness the divine beauty of Lord Krishna in a magnificent form.
On August 25, 2024, as part of the Janmashtami celebrations, 5251 lamps will be lit across Mathura. The first ceremonial bathing of the deity will be performed by a golden-embellished silver Kamadhenu cow. Key moments from Lord Krishna's life will be vividly depicted, bringing the divine stories to life. Devotees will be given continuous access to the Janmabhoomi temple, with entry allowed from 5:30 AM until 1:30 AM the following day. The auspicious Janmabhishek ceremony will be graced by the presence of the revered Mahant Shri Nitya Gopal Das Maharaj.
