On Wednesday, President Droupadi Murmu will deliver an address to the nation on the eve of the 74th Republic Day. The speech will be broadcast on All India Radio (AIR) and Doordarshan, in Hindi and English, followed by regional language versions. The address will begin at 7:00 pm and will be aired on the entire national network of AIR, as well as all channels of Doordarshan. After the initial broadcast in Hindi and English, regional channels of Doordarshan will also broadcast the speech in regional languages. AIR will broadcast regional language versions from 9:30 pm on its respective regional networks.

The nation will celebrate its 74th Republic Day on January 26th, with a variety of celebrations and events planned. The traditional parade and march past will take place at Kartavya Path, with participation from the Armed Forces and Paramilitary Forces. India and Egypt are celebrating 75 years of establishment of diplomatic ties this year, and Egypt has also been invited as a 'Guest Country' during India's G20 Presidency.

There will be a number of new events organized as part of the Republic Day celebrations this year. For example, a military contingent of the Egyptian Army will march in India's Republic Day parade on January 26th. The Egyptian military contingent will have 144 personnel participating in the parade. Additionally, there will be a Military Tattoo and Tribal Dance festival, a Veer Gatha 2.0 event, a second edition of Vande Bharatam dance competition, performances by Military and Coast Guard bands at the National War Memorial, an All-India School Band Competition, a Drone Show, and projection mapping during the Beating the Retreat ceremony.
