Dressed in a golden kurta, paired with a cream dhoti and patka, Modi walked into the temple's sanctum sanctorum on Monday morning, clutching a silver umbrella over a folded red dupatta. Then the Prime Minister took a resolution for the inauguration ceremony.

After the ceremony, Modi will address a gathering. They are also going to visit Kuber Tila. He will also interact with the workers involved in the construction of the temple.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday said the "historic moment" of the consecration ceremony at the Ram temple in Ayodhya will enrich Indian heritage and culture and take the country's development journey to new heights.

Modi's comments came in response to a two-page letter written to President Draupadi Murmu ahead of the 'Pran Pratishtha' at the Ram temple.

Tagging the President's letter, Modi said in a post in Hindi on X, "Dear @rashtrapatibhvn ji, Thank you very much for your good wishes on the auspicious occasion of Ram Lalla's Abhishekam at Ayodhya Dham." He added, "I am confident that this historic moment will further enrich Indian heritage and culture and take our development journey to new heights."

In his letter to the PM, Murmu said that the atmosphere of nationwide celebration is an unceasing expression of India's eternal soul and the beginning of a new cycle of the country's revival.
