Amid the intense emotions and excitement surrounding Ayodhya's Ram temple, it is worth mentioning that Lord Ram's idol, in the form of a 5-year-old child, was installed in the temple's garbhagriha (womb house) on Thursday afternoon.

In a video, a 4 feet 3 inches idol of Ram Lalla can be seen placed in the Garbha Griha on the ground floor of the three storied temple. While the face and upper body are covered with yellow and white cloth respectively, Ram Lalla's feet are visible.

According to Arun Dixit, the priest involved in the Pran Pratishtha ceremony, the idol of Ram Lalla was placed in the garbha griha of the temple at 12.30 pm amidst chanting of prayers. "Pradhan Sankalp' was given by Anil Mishra at 1.20 pm," said Dixit. It may be mentioned here that the idol of Ram Lalla brought to the temple on Wednesday has been made by Arun Yogiraj of Mysore. The idol is carved from black stone and weighs around 150-200 kg. The idols of Sita, Hanuman and Lord Rama's brothers will be placed on the first floor of the temple. The three storied Ram temple is built in Nagara architectural style.

Pran Pratishtha ceremony
While the Pran Pratishtha ceremony will be held on Monday (January 22) in the presence of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, Governor Anandiben Patel, RSS Chief Mohan Bhagwat and members of Sri Ram Janmabhoomi Tirtha Kshetra. It will be opened to public from January 23.
