Nurpur District Launches Tree Plantation Drive to Foster Environmental Awareness
Community Comes Together for Environmental Conservation
In a commendable effort to enhance environmental awareness and promote nature conservation, the Vikasarth Vidyarthi (SFD) organization in Nurpur District initiated a tree plantation drive in the local panchayat area today. This initiative saw enthusiastic involvement from students and volunteers, all committed to protecting the environment through tree planting.
The event featured Sikandar Rana as the chief guest, while Pushparaj, the SFD State Convener, delivered an inspiring keynote address, encouraging students to take proactive roles in environmental stewardship.
Participants engaged in planting saplings with great enthusiasm, spreading the vital message of environmental preservation. Pushparaj urged each volunteer to commit to planting at least one tree annually and to ensure its ongoing care, stressing that true dedication involves both planting and nurturing.
Sikandar Rana, the chief guest, emphasized that safeguarding the environment is a shared responsibility that extends beyond government or organizational efforts; it is a duty for every individual. He reminded attendees of the crucial role trees play in maintaining ecological balance and securing a sustainable future for upcoming generations.
The plantation drive attracted a significant number of students, each making a pledge to plant and care for a sapling. The event concluded with a unified commitment from all participants to regularly tend to the plants and encourage others to join the cause of tree planting and conservation.
