Zayed Khan, who hails from a prominent film family, has two elder sisters, Simone Khan and Sussanne Khan, along with Farah Khan Ali. His father, Sanjay Khan, is a well-known actor and filmmaker, while his mother, Zarine Khan, has also made her mark in the industry. Zayed recently opened up about the challenging times he faced, particularly following a serious incident where his father was injured in a fire during the filming of the TV series The Sword of Tipu Sultan. He remarked, "He who is without sin should cast the first stone. The time my father lived in was different; it was not a conventional job. Relationships were formed on set, and sometimes things don’t go as planned. As an adult, I can reflect on this and recognize that growing up, I didn’t feel the weight of it all too much." Zayed continued, "It was during my teenage years that I became more aware of these issues. However, considering all that my father has done for our family, I feel unqualified to judge him. As for public opinion, I’m open to it."

Reflecting on his childhood, Zayed recalled being around 12 years old and feeling a deep concern for his mother, Zarine, as she navigated numerous challenges following his father's accident. He expressed, "My mother was managing everything—us four children, the media, hospital expenses, and even dealing with our mortgaged home and cars. Financial struggles were overwhelming, and it was frustrating to witness her endure so much. Yet, she maintained a calm demeanor, displaying silent strength without burdening us. I could sense her pain, and I even suggested boarding school to lessen her worries."
