On the release day of Huma Qureshi's film Baby Do Die Do, actor Yash took to Instagram Stories to extend his congratulations. Not only does Huma star in the film, but she also serves as its producer. In a heartfelt message, Yash commended the dedication required to produce a film, describing it as a challenging journey filled with late nights, financial hurdles, and a steadfast belief in the narrative. He acknowledged Huma, his co-star from Toxic, for opting for the more challenging route to present Baby Do Die Do to viewers, admiring her "quiet courage."
Yash's Thoughts on Baby Do Die Do
Yash expressed his admiration for Baby Do Die Do and praised Huma Qureshi's contributions to the project. He referred to her journey as a testament to choosing "the harder version of success," emphasizing the often unglamorous realities of film production, which include long hours, budget constraints, and the need to stand firm behind a script that may not receive universal support. He applauded Huma for managing both acting and producing roles, stating that she handled the project with "quiet courage" and concluded his message by saying, "Proud doesn't even cover it," wishing the entire team success on the film's debut.
Overview of Baby Do Die Do
Baby Do Die Do centers around Baby Karmarkar (played by Huma Qureshi), a deaf and mute assassin raised by the underworld figure Papa (Chunky Panday). Employed by a powerful real estate mafia leader, Zafar (Sikandar Kher), Baby secretly seeks vengeance against the man with a prosthetic ear who killed her twin sister years prior. As her quest for revenge escalates, an unexpected romance blossoms with her compassionate neighbor Siddhu (Rachit Singh), a struggling musician, providing a glimpse of hope amidst her turmoil. The film artfully combines action, dark humor, and emotional depth, culminating in a dramatic finale where Baby confronts her sister's murderer while grappling with her own painful history.
In addition, Yash and Huma are set to appear together in the highly anticipated film Toxic: A Fairy Tale For Grown Ups. Directed by Geetu Mohandas, Yash will portray a dual role in this story set in Goa during the 1940s to 1970s. The narrative follows the ascent of a ruthless gangster who establishes a formidable empire through violence and treachery during the tumultuous period of colonial rule's end. Huma will take on the character of Elizabeth, alongside Kiara Advani, who plays Nadia. Toxic is scheduled for release on August 26, 2026.
