Will Carry On Jatta 4 Overcome Financial Hurdles Despite Record-Breaking Status?
Carry On Jatta 4: A Box Office Dilemma
Recently, Carry On Jatta 4 has claimed the title of the highest-grossing Punjabi film of 2026, yet it faces a daunting challenge as it struggles to break even. Despite featuring popular actors like Sargun Mehta, Gippy Grewal, and Binnu Dhillon, the film is unlikely to match the financial success of its predecessor, Carry On Jatta 3. As it enters its second week, box office performance remains a key concern for both industry experts and fans.
Since its debut, Carry On Jatta 4 has seen a tepid response, with daily earnings on a downward trend. Data from Sacnilk indicates that on its 13th day, the film earned just 22 lakh, a decline from the 29 lakh it made on its second Monday. After 13 days in theaters, the film's total earnings at the Indian box office stand at 16.07 crore net, still falling short of its estimated production budget of 20 crore.
Currently, Carry On Jatta 4 has recouped about 80.35% of its total budget, but it still needs to generate an additional 3.93 crore to reach a financially secure position. This performance is particularly striking given the lack of significant competition in the Punjabi film industry, yet the film has struggled to keep its box office momentum.
In contrast, Jaswinder Bhalla's Carry On Jatta 3 achieved a remarkable total of 37.62 crore net during its theatrical run, setting a high bar for its successor. For Carry On Jatta 4 to surpass this figure, it would need to see an extraordinary 134% increase in daily earnings, a target that seems increasingly unattainable as its daily collections have dwindled to around 20 lakh.
As the film continues its theatrical run, industry analysts will be keenly observing its box office trajectory. The upcoming days will be pivotal in determining whether Carry On Jatta 4 can recover its remaining costs and how it will be remembered in the ever-evolving landscape of Punjabi cinema.
