Sunidhi Chauhan Opens Up About Her Departure from Reality Shows

Mumbai: Renowned vocalist Sunidhi Chauhan shared her reasons for stepping away from reality television during an engaging discussion with veteran actor Shekhar Suman on the show 'Shekhar Tonite'.

In the episode, Suman highlighted Sunidhi's deliberate choice to avoid controversies and her absence from judging singing competitions.

Sunidhi confirmed that this choice was entirely hers, stating, "I was involved for a long time, but I realized that this isn't my space anymore."

When asked about her motivations for this decision, she noted that the distinction between music production and reality TV has become increasingly unclear.

"It's unfortunate. In the past, auto-tune or Melodyne was used for specific effects in songs. However, in a reality show, authenticity is expected. When that line blurred, I felt it was heading in a direction I couldn't follow," she explained.

During their conversation, both Shekhar and Sunidhi discussed the difficulties artists encounter during live performances.

Shekhar referenced incidents involving singers like KK and Sonu Nigam, inquiring if Sunidhi had faced similar challenges on stage.

Sunidhi expressed her gratitude, saying she has never experienced such situations.

"I consider myself very lucky because I have never encountered that kind of behavior. People have shown me immense love and respect," she remarked.
