Why Pulkit Samrat and Kriti Kharbanda Chose Work Over Honeymoon After Their Wedding
Pulkit Samrat and Kriti Kharbanda's Busy Start to Married Life
Actors Pulkit Samrat and Kriti Kharbanda recently tied the knot in a beautiful ceremony, but their married life kicked off with a whirlwind of activities. The couple, who exchanged vows in March 2024, had to delay their honeymoon due to professional commitments. Unlike many newlyweds who typically take a vacation after their wedding festivities, Pulkit and Kriti decided to prioritize their careers. Pulkit has now shed light on why they opted out of a honeymoon, emphasizing their dedication to their work.
Pulkit Samrat Discusses Skipping the Honeymoon
In a recent interview with Filmfare, Pulkit candidly shared that he and Kriti made the decision to skip their honeymoon. He explained that both were deeply involved in their respective projects immediately after the wedding. Kriti resumed filming for Rana Naidu just three days after their nuptials, while Pulkit quickly dove into his own work. He remarked, "One of the significant sacrifices I have made is not going on my honeymoon."
Currently, Pulkit is gearing up for the launch of his new series Glory, where he takes on the role of a boxer. The preparation for this character was quite rigorous, involving nearly two years of intense training that limited his personal time, including family interactions. The demanding nature of the project made it difficult for him to plan a honeymoon. He also mentioned that as soon as Kriti wrapped up her filming schedule, he jumped straight into working on Glory, leaving no room for a break. With the series set to debut on May 1, he is now fully immersed in promotional activities. In fact, he has even set a “disclaimer,” indicating that he will be unavailable for 15 days following the release of Glory.
Exploring Pulkit and Kriti's Relationship Journey
Pulkit and Kriti's love story began several years ago when they met on the set of Veerey Ki Wedding. Their bond grew stronger during the filming of Pagalpanti, and they officially started dating in 2019. After years of being together, they got engaged in a private ceremony before marrying on March 15, 2024, at the luxurious ITC Grand Bharat.
Meanwhile, Glory represents a significant milestone in Pulkit’s career as it marks his lead debut in the OTT arena. Created by Karan Anshuman and Karmanya Ahuja, the series revolves around two brothers dealing with family conflicts, rivalry, and a murder mystery set against the backdrop of boxing.
