Who is Opal Suchata Chuangsri? Meet the New Miss World 2025!

Opal Suchata Chuangsri Crowned Miss World 2025
In a dazzling ceremony held in Hyderabad, Thailand's Opal Suchata Chuangsri was crowned Miss World 2025 during the grand finale of the 72nd edition of the renowned beauty pageant. Ethiopia's Hasset Dereje Admassu secured the position of runner-up.
Opal enchanted both the audience and judges with her elegance and a compelling message of hope. During the costume segment, she donned a custom white gown embellished with floral designs reminiscent of opals and adorned with Swarovski crystals. She described the outfit as a homage to 'healing, strength, and the ripple effect of compassion.'
Following her victory, Opal shared on Instagram, 'The shimmering fabric reflects women who choose hope over fear. The soft flare mirrors how one heart can awaken many.'
India's contestant, Nandini Gupta, made it to the Top 20 but did not progress to the final stages, disappointing local fans. The last Indian to win the Miss World title was Manushi Chhillar in 2017, with India having a total of six winners, including notable names like Aishwarya Rai and Priyanka Chopra.
This year's event was particularly significant for India, marking the first time Hyderabad hosted the global pageant. The previous edition in Mumbai saw Krystyna Pyszkova from the Czech Republic crowned.
One judge remarked, 'Spirit, grace, and resilience shone on stage tonight. It was more than just a beauty pageant; it was a celebration of global womanhood.'
The event concluded with a standing ovation as Opal Chuangsri took her inaugural walk as Miss World 2025, her gown sparkling under the lights, embodying the values she aims to promote during her reign.
