Lucky Bisht's Acting Debut in 'Sena, Guardians of the Nation'

Mumbai: Lucky Bisht, a former bodyguard of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and a RAW agent, has made a special appearance in the series 'Sena, Guardians of the Nation.'

Reflecting on how he landed this cameo, Bisht shared, "I received a special invitation. The creators wanted an authentic soldier to appear on screen, given my military background and experience, which led to this opportunity."

The series features Vikram Singh Chauhan in the lead role, alongside Yashpal Sharma, Shirley Setia, Anandeshwar Dwivedi, Rahul Tewari, Vijay Vikram Singh, Anupam Bhattacharya, Neelu Dogra, and Funcho in significant roles. It is currently available for streaming on MX Player.

Discussing his experience in front of the camera, he remarked, "It was a thrilling and entirely new experience. In real life, you serve with a sense of duty, while on screen, you aim to convey those same emotions. Although both experiences differ, the genuine feelings made it easier for me to adapt."

He elaborated on the contrast between being a soldier in real life and portraying one on screen: "Being a soldier in the field entails real responsibilities and risking your life, whereas acting as a soldier is just that—acting."

He added, "In actual combat, there are elements of fear, sweat, and sacrifice, while on screen, those emotions are conveyed through performance and the camera's perspective."

Bisht expressed his positive experience working with the cast, describing it as both enjoyable and educational.

"Everyone was respectful and welcoming. The atmosphere was friendly and light-hearted, which made the work even more enjoyable," he noted.

Produced by The Viral Fever and directed by Abhinav Anand, the series is penned by Anandeshwar Dwivedi. Lucky Bisht, who has served in both the NSG and SPG, is recognized as one of the youngest commandos to have protected two Indian Prime Ministers.

The storyline of 'Sena-Guardians of the Nation' revolves around the relationship between father Deen Dayal Sharma and his son Kartik Sharma. Kartik leaves a promising job in California to enlist in the Indian Army, despite his father's disapproval. After successfully passing the CDS exam and SSB interview, he becomes a Captain stationed in Kashmir.
