Netflix is set to enhance its collection of adaptations from Emily Henry's novels, with the film version of her acclaimed 2020 novel, "Beach Read," currently underway. Fans have been eagerly anticipating the casting details, and the lead roles have finally been announced. Patrick Schwarzenegger and Phoebe Dynevor will portray Augustus Everett and January Andrews, respectively, bringing depth to these intricate characters.

In the narrative of "Beach Read," Dynevor's character, January Andrews, is a romance author who faces a crisis of faith in love after discovering her late father's betrayal. On the other hand, Schwarzenegger's Augustus Everett, a fellow writer and January's former college peer, is struggling with his own creative hurdles. Their lives intersect while they both reside in adjacent beach houses along the scenic Michigan shoreline, leading to an unexpected partnership.

The two authors come up with a plan to assist each other in overcoming their individual obstacles. Augustus intends to craft a fairytale romance inspired by January's writing style, while she aims to tackle a more serious narrative involving a cult that Augustus knows about.
