Jennifer Aniston's Broadway Aspirations

Los Angeles: Renowned actress Jennifer Aniston, celebrated for her iconic role in the beloved sitcom Friends, has expressed her desire to perform on Broadway, a goal that remains unfulfilled despite her extensive career in film and television.

At 56, Aniston shared with ‘People’ magazine that even after nearly 40 years in the industry, she still has aspirations to achieve something significant in her career.

In her recent campaign with Smartwater, she stated, “I definitely want to do a Broadway play. That’s on my bucket list. But it’s about finding the time and the right material. I absolutely have to do a play on Broadway.”

Growing up in a family immersed in the entertainment world, with her mother Nancy Dow and father John Aniston both in the industry, Aniston was introduced to acting early on.

According to ‘People’, after completing her education at a performing arts high school in New York City, she participated in several Off-Broadway productions and appeared in various television shows before making her film debut in the 1993 movie Leprechaun. Shortly thereafter, she landed the role of Rachel Green in ‘Friends’, which she portrayed throughout the show's entire run from 1994 to 2004.

Aniston shared the screen with Courteney Cox, Lisa Kudrow, Matt LeBlanc, Matthew Perry, and David Schwimmer in this fan-favorite series.

While ‘Friends’ was airing, she also took on numerous film roles, including ‘My Affection’, ‘Office Space’, ‘The Good Girl’, and ‘Bruce Almighty’. Following the conclusion of the NBC series, she continued to star in various films such as ‘Marley & Me’, ‘He’s Just Not That into You’, ‘Just Go with It’, ‘We’re the Millers’, ‘Cake’, and ‘Murder Mystery’ along with its sequel released in 2023.

Currently, Aniston stars alongside Reese Witherspoon, Billy Crudup, Mark Duplass, and Karen Pittman in Apple TV+’s ‘The Morning Show’, which is set to premiere its fourth season later this year.
