Bollywood stars Akshay Kumar and Vidya Balan are set to join forces once again in a new comedy-drama helmed by Anees Bazmee. The pair has previously collaborated on successful films like Bhool Bhulaiyaa (2007), Heyy Babyy (2007), and Mission Mangal (2019). Akshay recently shared a glimpse of their journey to Kerala for the film's shoot on Instagram, confirming their exciting project. Reports indicate that the film will also feature two female leads, with Vidya likely to be one of them.

The duo has arrived in Kerala to kick off the next phase of filming for their upcoming project. This marks their fourth collaboration, and Akshay expressed his optimism about their on-screen chemistry continuing to bring them good fortune. He shared, "Next stop: God’s own country, the enchanting Keralam. Anees Bazmi’s next is my fourth film with the ever fabulous @balanvidya and I hope the good luck charm of our pairing continues."

Current Projects of Akshay Kumar and Vidya Balan
Recently, Akshay starred in Bhooth Bangla, directed by Priyadarshan, marking their reunion after 14 years. The film follows Arjun Maurya (played by Akshay), who travels to Mangalpur for his sister's wedding at their ancestral home. Despite warnings about a local legend involving a demon that makes brides disappear, Arjun remains skeptical until he faces the legend himself.
The cast includes notable actors such as Paresh Rawal, Rajpal Yadav, Tabu, and Mithila Palkar, showcasing a rich blend of talent across generations.
On the other hand, Vidya is set to star in Raja Shivaji, directed by and featuring Riteish Deshmukh as Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj. The film chronicles the warrior king's journey from youth to the establishment of Swarajya (self-rule) as he faces formidable adversaries. Vidya plays Badi Begum, a powerful figure in the Bijapur Sultanate and the mother of Ali Adil Shah II, who played a crucial role in the royal court and opposed Shivaji Maharaj. This film is scheduled for release on May 1.
