The Federation of Western India Cine Employees (FWICE) had initially issued a non-cooperation notice against Singh after he exited the project just before filming was set to begin. However, the FWICE later retracted this notice, clarifying that they had not officially barred the actor from participating.

Poonam Dhillon, a veteran actress and president of the Cine & TV Artistes' Association (CINTAA), has publicly supported this decision, praising Ranveer as a committed professional. She revealed that the actor's father reached out to her regarding the unfolding situation.

In an interview with Variety India, Poonam disclosed that she had a thorough conversation with Ranveer's father, who expressed his appreciation for her backing. He mentioned that the family had been in touch with Excel Entertainment and spoke positively about their relationship with Farhan Akhtar and his team. "He conveyed that there was no animosity from their side," Dhillon stated.

While the family was not pleased with how FWICE handled the matter, they did not seek CINTAA's intervention. Dhillon offered assistance, but Ranveer's father indicated they preferred to resolve the issue independently, feeling that CINTAA's involvement was unnecessary. She expressed relief that the matter had been settled amicably.

During the same discussion, Poonam criticized FWICE, asserting that the organization lacked the credibility to take such actions against a prominent actor.

Following FWICE's initial actions against him, Ranveer reportedly issued a legal notice to the organization. Despite the controversy, he has remained largely silent. A spokesperson for the actor emphasized that Ranveer respects the film industry and everyone associated with Don 3.
