Akhanda 2: Thaandavam Release Postponed

Hyderabad: The highly awaited action film Akhanda 2: Thaandavam, directed by Boyapati Sreenu and starring Nandamuri Balakrishna, will not premiere on December 5 as initially planned due to unforeseen circumstances.

The production company, 14 Reels Plus, announced on their X account, "It is with a heavy heart that we share the news that #Akhanda2 will not be released as scheduled due to unavoidable circumstances. We understand how disappointing this is for fans and movie enthusiasts eagerly awaiting the film."

They added, "We are diligently working to resolve the situation as quickly as possible. We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this may cause and appreciate your continued support. We will provide a positive update soon."

Earlier, the production team had to cancel the premiere shows in India, stating, "The premieres scheduled for today are canceled due to technical difficulties. We have done our best, but some issues are beyond our control. We apologize for the inconvenience. However, the overseas premieres will proceed as planned today."

The film has generated significant buzz and has already received a U/A certificate from the Censor Board.

Sources reported that the film has completed its censoring process and is set to run for 166 minutes (2 hours and 44 minutes).

Originally, the film was slated for release on December 5 this year.

A recently released teaser has only heightened expectations, showcasing adversaries plotting against India. In the teaser, Balakrishna, portraying a sadhu, declares, "Where there is evil, there is also a God! Be courageous."

The teaser reinforces the trailer's message, indicating that Balakrishna's character possesses a divine force within him, battling dark sorcerers who threaten India. It offers a sneak peek into the thrilling action sequences that await viewers.

Clearly, Balakrishna's role will confront both external enemies and malevolent forces aiming to disrupt the nation's peace in Akhanda 2: Thaandavam.

Produced on a grand scale by Raam Achanta and Gopichand Achanta under the 14 Reels Plus banner, the film is presented by M Tejaswini Nandamuri.
