Yaseen Khan Sets the Record Straight on Bodyguard Earnings
In an interview with Hindi Rush, Yaseen Khan stated that no bodyguard receives a monthly salary of Rs 8 to 10 lakh. He expressed skepticism about such figures, saying, “I don’t think they earn that much annually. If a celebrity pays them based on a personal agreement, that’s a different matter. But salaries are not that high. Who is paying Rs 8–10 lakh per month?” Yaseen emphasized that social media often spreads misinformation regarding the earnings of bodyguards. He explained that those working for high-profile stars typically receive a fixed salary, and when a star is filming, a separate contract is made, with producers covering the security costs for that project.
Gauri Khan's Role in Improving Bodyguard Compensation
Yaseen also revealed that bodyguards often do not receive payment for their time spent on set with stars. While other crew members like drivers and makeup artists are compensated by the producers, bodyguards frequently struggle to earn a living. During his tenure, Yaseen advocated for better contracts for bodyguards with producers. He even discussed the issue with Gauri Khan, who was receptive to the concerns. Gradually, improvements began to take shape regarding compensation for security personnel.
