Upcoming Military Drama Set to Premiere
The highly anticipated military drama series Operation Safed Sagar, featuring actors Siddharth, Jimmy Shergill, Dia Mirza, and Adil Hussain, is set to debut on Netflix on August 7. This series draws inspiration from one of the Indian Air Force's most formidable wartime missions.
Directed by Oni Sen, the narrative unfolds during the 1999 Kargil War, focusing on the Golden Arrows Squadron's remarkable journey against overwhelming odds. It highlights the bravery, sacrifices, and spirit of the individuals involved, shedding light on a pivotal moment in modern Indian military history.

The series is crafted by Abhijeet Singh Parmar and Kushal Srivastava, featuring a talented cast that includes Abhay Verma, Prajakta Koli, Mihir Ahuja, Taaruk Raina, Arnav Bhasin, and Amrita Bagchi.
Sanjay Routray from Matchbox Shots LLP expressed, “Certain moments in our nation's history require more than just remembrance; they need to be depicted with authenticity and grandeur. Operation Safed Sagar is one such narrative that illustrates how the most significant acts of bravery are often fueled by duty, sacrifice, and humanity.”
He further noted, “When Kushal Shrivastva presented this thoroughly researched script, we recognized it deserved to be told with the scale it requires. The story adeptly intertwines large-scale military action with deeply personal acts of heroism.”
Abhijeet Singh Parmar and Mehboob Pal Singh Brar from Feel Good Films shared, “Our motivation for creating and producing Operation Safed Sagar stemmed from the chance to delve into a world that few have the opportunity to witness firsthand, a world revealed to us through our Co-Creator Kushal Srivastava's experiences in the Indian Air Force.”
They added, “As we explored the lives of Air Force pilots, their families, and their surroundings, we discovered that beyond the conflict and mission, this is fundamentally a tale of friendship, sacrifice, leadership, and difficult choices.”
Parmar concluded, “Whether it was recreating this environment across more than 100 locations, including filming at altitudes exceeding 16,000 feet, or assembling a large ensemble cast with extensive visual effects, our goal was always to balance scale with intimate human storytelling.”
