Madhur Bhandarkar Launches New Film Project
New Delhi: Renowned director Madhur Bhandarkar, celebrated for films like Fashion, Heroine, and Chandni Bar, is gearing up to start production on his latest film, titled The Wives.
The film features a talented cast including Sonali Kulkarni, Mouni Roy, Regina Cassandra, Rahul Bhatt, Saurabh Sachdeva, Arjan Bajwa, and Freddy Daruvala, with filming set to commence today in Mumbai, as per an official announcement.
Bhandarkar, a National Award-winning filmmaker, described the movie as a "bold and unapologetic exploration of the secrets, challenges, and resilience of women who are often visible yet unheard."
He further stated, "With The Wives, I aim to uncover another glamorous facade of society and reveal the truths that lie beneath it."
The film is being produced by Bhandarkar Entertainment in collaboration with P.J. Motion Pictures.
This project marks Bhandarkar's second partnership with producer Pranav Jain of P.J. Motion Pictures, following their previous collaboration on the 2022 film India Lockdown.
Jain expressed his enthusiasm, stating, "Working with Madhur sir again is incredibly thrilling. He possesses a unique talent for crafting narratives that provoke thought. The Wives will be an enlightening experience, and I am honored to support such an authentic and pertinent project."
