Bhubaneswar: Priyanka Chopra Jonas has recently launched the trailer for The Cycle of Love, a touching documentary that narrates the extraordinary true love story of Pradyumna Kumar Mahanandia, an artist from Odisha. He undertook a remarkable journey, cycling nearly 6,000 miles from India to Sweden to be with his beloved. The trailer, released on Wednesday, has garnered significant attention, highlighting one of the most incredible love stories ever told.

Produced by Priyanka and directed by the acclaimed Orlando von Einsiedel, this documentary captures Mahanandia’s incredible adventure after he fell for Swedish tourist Lotta Von Schedvin, whom he met while drawing portraits in Delhi during the 1970s. After she returned to Sweden, he was determined to reunite with her, leading him to embark on an epic bicycle journey across multiple countries.

In her trailer announcement, Priyanka described the film as “one of those rare, almost unbelievable true stories” that embodies hope, resilience, and the timeless power of love. She emphasized that the documentary allows viewers to rediscover the joy of cinema through a profoundly human narrative. It features interviews with the real couple alongside dramatized reenactments with actors Chirag Benedict Lobo and Mina Dale portraying the younger versions of PK Mahanandia and Lotta. The film is set to premiere in New York on August 28, with a UK release following in September.

This documentary is particularly meaningful for Odisha, as Mahanandia hails from Kandhapadar village in the current Anugola district. Rising from modest beginnings, he became a celebrated artist, and his remarkable journey has turned him into a global emblem of love, determination, and perseverance. His inspiring tale has long been cherished in the state, and The Cycle of Love is poised to share it with audiences worldwide.
