Insights from Manav Gohil on Working with R Madhavan and Ranveer Singh

During an interview with Zoom, Manav reflected on the collaborative dynamic between the trio while filming the Hindi feature. He recalled, "There were two key moments where Ranveer and I discussed our roles as spies, and I felt that Aditya had crafted a compelling good cop, bad cop dynamic. I took on the bad cop persona, while Maddy provided the support, saying, 'Come under my umbrella.' Initially, I engaged with his character playfully, provoking him, and Madhavan embraced the idea, asserting, 'We can do this for you; you can do this for us.' This chemistry was central to Aditya's vision."

Manav continued, "Ranveer was deeply immersed in his character. You could see his vulnerability, and it made you want to help him. Everything fell into place beautifully. Each scene was meticulously crafted by Aditya, and all actors were in sync, fully dedicated to the moment. The scene itself took precedence over individual performances, which was entirely in line with Aditya's vision."

Memorable Moments from the Dhurandhar Films

When asked about his favorite scenes, Manav highlighted Ranveer's emotional depth in the espionage film. He remarked on the sensitive portrayal of themes like injustice and revenge, stating, "It's not the first time we've seen a character seeking vengeance for their family's suffering. However, the way it was depicted and Ranveer's execution made for a truly authentic and moving performance, especially in scenes involving his family. I still feel emotional thinking about it. Kya kiya hai uss ladke ne [What has that boy done!]. Those moments really struck a chord with me."

Dhurandhar 2 continues to perform exceptionally well at the box office, marking its 18th day in India. It has made history as the first Bollywood film to join the Rs 1,000 crore club in India.
